How did that place influence your music? (if at all!)

I write music based on a Medieval song about the Apocalypse from the place where I was born.

What got you into making music in the first place?

The joy of singing and playing, especially at times when I was feeling much joy in my life.

Soundscapes, symbols, Medieval imagery, harmony stacks.

Why did you get into playing them in the first place?

A friend

What advice would you give new performers who are just starting out playing their first open mics?

Just do it, regardless of how it goes. Going on stage is brave and already an achievement.

What’s the hardest thing, for you, about playing open mics?

Getting over my nerves

What’s the most bizarre, or fun, open mic, or gig, you’ve ever played, and why?

That time a full jazz band casually joined a spoken word artist and made it sound like beat poetry.

Yes

What do you currently find the hardest and biggest obstacles to moving your music career forward?

Finding the right energy, time and motivation to create.

What’s the one truth about you that people often find surprising?

That I don’t sing in Spanish but in Catalan, another of my native languages.

What’s the most exciting project you’re working on at the moment?

My next EP, and writing a song to pitch to a J pop band.
