What got you into making music in the first place?

Greatness born James Green fell in love with music at an early age citing The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and Jay-Z as major influences on his decision to pursue music as a career choice in his teen years where he would go on to major in recording arts at The International Academy of Design and Technology Tampa Fla where he would go on to make first impressions in music and learning the ins and outs of the business.

Yes

How many years have you been writing songs for?

What process, or processes, do you often find yourself using when you write songs?

Studying the track and kind of let it speak to me and I build my hook from there because it’s my story/overall theme of the record.

How long have you been playing open mic nights?

Why did you get into playing them in the first place?

I like the poetic atmosphere of it all.

What advice would you give new performers who are just starting out playing their first open mics?

Just have fun.

What’s the hardest thing, for you, about playing open mics?

Getting to know the environment.

What’s the most bizarre, or fun, open mic, or gig, you’ve ever played, and why?

Tampa Fla it was my first so I didn’t know what to expect.

Yes

What do you currently find the hardest and biggest obstacles to moving your music career forward?

I had to find the inspiration to return to the mic.

What’s the one truth about you that people often find surprising?

That my favourite genre is reggae.

What’s the most exciting project you’re working on at the moment?

My album Thiz iz not a drill.
