Where did you grow up?

How did that place influence your music? (if at all!)

I started out performing at open mics in local Reading pubs and gained inspiration from the guitar based music which was played there

Where are you based now, and why?

London

What got you into making music in the first place?

I love storytelling and connecting with people through lyrics and melodies

How many years have you been writing songs for?

What process, or processes, do you often find yourself using when you write songs?

I normally start with the chord progression, followed by melody and then the lyrics. However, I also keep lyric notes on my phone which come in handy!

How many years have you been playing open mic nights?

Why did you get into playing them in the first place?

To perform my original songs to an audience and see what they think

What advice would you give new performers who are just starting out playing their first open mics?

Just go for it, even if it’s scary. You’ll enjoy it when you get into it!

Yes

What do you currently find the hardest and biggest obstacles to moving your music career forward?

Trying to get my original music heard which is why I try to showcase it live in as many different places as I can

What’s the most exciting project you’re working on at the moment?

I’ve just released my debut single ‘Younger Dreams’ and am currently promoting it
