Where did you grow up?

South east London as well as Turkey.

How did that place influence your music? (if at all!)

I think the places I grew up didn’t have an impact on my music but the experiences I went through or are going through like emotions and moving or feeling certain ways make my music relatable.

Where are you based now, and why?

I am based in south east London and in a happier place I was before I moved to a different house and created different friends. But now instead of creating my feelings out of one type of style of singing and writing, I channel them also into different genres as well.

What got you into making music in the first place?

I have always listened to music growing up like every since I was born as my mum was a big music fan. I always loved it from a listeners point of view but never from a singers or songwriters one. When I moved to my first secondary school I dealt with a lot of bullying and nasty mental abuse as well as cyber bullying. This was because I thought outside of the box and thought anyone could express themselves anyway they could. So when I started to get bullied, I started to feel emotions I hadn’t felt before and I decided to put those feelings into a song as I couldn’t express them out loud. I didn’t know how to write or compose or what to do, so I went on my piano (which I only knew a few chords on) and created lyrics to them. From that day on I went into any room I could that had a piano or logic and just learnt how to write more and express more. Fast forward to now, I am finishing music collage with a dream and a passion that I continuously try to grow on. I am constantly improving and always up for new ideas. I am unique upcoming musician named BAMBI and that’s a little snippet of my story.

Who would be in your top 10 musical influences, and why?

I don’t have a favourite musician as they have all shown me different skills and inspiration especially when a child. So I will give you 9 influential musicians who have shaped me into me today. FUN, MIKA, RIHANNA (in the 2000’s) EMINEM, MADONNA, LADY GAGA, FLEETWOOD MAC, LIONEL RITCHIE and MICHAEL JACKSON. These musicians haven’t just inspired me with there music but they have also inspired me with there character and charisma.

What process, or processes, do you often find yourself using when you write songs?

It can go from having a melody in my head and continuing that on the piano or it can go from having a song in mind I want to write about and making that possible.

How long have you been playing open mic nights?

Why did you get into playing them in the first place?

I haven’t played that many open mic nights (maybe around 3 times) but I am so ready to perform and show people my talent.

What advice would you give new performers who are just starting out playing their first open mics?

Don’t give a shit about anyone else’s comments or thoughts. Just do your thing that makes you happy and if your happy with it no one else’s opinion should matter.

What’s the hardest thing, for you, about playing open mics?

Stage fright. But I have learnt to deal with that and get better so now it just needs to be put to the test

Yes

What do you currently find the hardest and biggest obstacles to moving your music career forward?

Earning money aswell as making time for something I love.

What’s the one truth about you that people often find surprising?

That I am not as confident as I come across. I am very talkative and very friendly person but no one really understands how much I think it through.

What’s the most exciting project you’re working on at the moment?

I am learning my craft and understanding me as an artist.
