Where did you grow up?

How did that place influence your music? (if at all!)

I explored both western genres and Indian Classical and Bollywood, fusing them together to create works that mix pop, rock, R&B, jazz with Indian Genres. I also write my own songs that use a variety of genres.

Where are you based now, and why?

Croydon, England.

What got you into making music in the first place?

I have always been inspired by music as a kid and new I wanted to go into music since then and will continue to pursue it as my career choice.

Who would be in your top 10 musical influences, and why?

Katy Perry – My first favourite pop artist when I was a kid. Billie Eilish – My current favourite pop artist who inspires me with her variety of genres, relatable lyric writing and beautiful melodies. A.R. Rahman – His composing and use of different and unconventional instruments and blending them together is incredible. Linkin Park – I am inspired by their amazing song writing and fusing rock music with rap and using other instruments. Ariana Grande – I had a huge phase with her and I am still inspired by her amazing vocal agility. Lata Mangeshkar – One of the greatest Indian singers of all time, her songs are the classics. Blackpink – While exploring different genres I also looked into K-Pop and I learnt a lot from their song writing and music production. Taylor Swift – Her lyrics have so much meaning and her songs gave me inspiration for my song writing. Dua Lipa – I enjoy her catchy melodies. Shreya Goshal – Her vocals are impeccable and each song of hers is amazing.

How many years have you been writing songs for?

What process, or processes, do you often find yourself using when you write songs?

I get melodies randomly all the time. Lyrics come to me often when I’m thinking deeply over topics or when inspiration strikes. I combined both aspects to create songs and if I think the song turned out to be good, I work on producing and adding digital instrumentation and vocals.

How long have you been playing open mic nights?

Why did you get into playing them in the first place?

To improve my performance, confidence and audience engagement.

Yes

What do you currently find the hardest and biggest obstacles to moving your music career forward?

Gaining a large audience as an artist and also finding my sound as I dabble in a lot of genres and styles.
